History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

Letchworth Funeral Home is located at 101 West 7th Street in the rural farming town of Scotland Neck in Halifax County. It is independently owned by Buddy Letchworth. The first funeral held was done by Buddy Letchworth on May 5, 1996 without a funeral home. Seeing the need was here for a funeral home, and the community being behind us, we began working toward building the funeral home in July 1996. After many months of hard work, the funeral home was completed, and we held open house on May 4, 1997.
